Dena Springer, MD

Dena Springer earned her B.A. summa cum laude from Harvard University in 1999, majoring in psychology and biology and receiving Phi Beta Kappa honors in her junior year. After college, she spent a year serving in AmeriCorps, working with underserved teenagers and women in the Washington, D.C. area in a women's health center. She then attended medical school at Yale University School of Medicine, graduating in 2004 as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Springer went on to complete her residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program at the Children’s Hospital of Boston and Boston Medical Center in 2007.

After initially practicing pediatrics in New York City, Dr. Springer joined Hamden Pediatrics in 2008. She is board-certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a clinical instructor in pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Springer is a recipient of Connecticut Top Doctors and Castle Connolly Top Doctors.

She currently lives in Woodbridge, CT with her husband and three children and is a reluctant hockey mom. In her free time, Dr. Springer also serves on the Board of Directors and as the medical advisor for the Woodbridge Child Care Center. In her youth, Dr. Springer was an avid soccer player and competitive gymnast.
