New COVID-19 Office Policies
During the Coronavirus pandemic, we are trying our best to keep you updated through our website and Facebook page. Please check back often as medical information and advice is evolving constantly. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make appropriate changes to our practice.
To help decrease the spread of COVID-19, we have limited our office hours and are providing as much care as possible through telemedicine visits. Our goal is to provide exceptional health care while ensuring the safety of our patients and providers. Currently, most well-child visits are done in two parts. A telemedicine visit allows the family and doctor to discuss concerns and review development, well-being and anticipatory guidance. This is followed by the physical evaluation and vaccinations in the office on a later date. For these in office visits, we ask that only one adult accompany the child, and that both the parent and child (when possible) wear a mask. If anyone in the household has symptoms of illness (fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, vomiting or diarrhea), has had an exposure to COVID-19, or is under quarantine due to travel or exposure, please do not come to the office, but call to reschedule. We ask that all families call our office when they arrive in our parking lot, before coming into the building. Our staff will ask screening questions and direct the family to an exam room in our office. Masks must be put on before entering the building and must remain in place at all times until families return to their car.
We have updated our air filtration system and all staff are following appropriate PPE and social distance guidelines to reduce the risk of COVID-19.
If you have concerns about possible COVID-19 exposure, COVID-19 testing, or if your child is experiencing any signs of illness, we ask that you call our office to schedule a telemedicine visit with one of our doctors. If appropriate, COVID-19 testing will be ordered.
OFFICE HOURS: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. If you have a non-urgent issue or need a medication refill, we ask that you please call during these hours. If you reach the answering service during these hours, then stay on the line to be connected via page to the doctor covering the office. As usual, we have providers on-call for emergent issues if you need to reach us outside of our regular office hours. Unless you are having a life-threatening emergency, we strongly discourage the use of urgent care facilities or the emergency room unless instructed to by one of our physicians.
